Frequently Asked Questions About Altira Pet Supplements

Simply shake the bottle, pour the recommended serving over your pet's food, and mix it in. Use daily for best results. The gravy works with any food type — dry kibble, wet food, raw, or home-cooked meals. Most pets love the taste immediately, so there's no transition period needed.

Yes! Everyday Gravy is formulated to be safe for all breeds and sizes over 12 weeks old. Every ingredient is all-natural and the product is manufactured in a GMP-certified, FDA-registered facility in the USA. If your pet has specific health conditions or is on medication, we recommend consulting your veterinarian before use.

For dogs: Small dogs (under 25 lbs) — 1 tablespoon daily. Medium dogs (25–50 lbs) — 1.5 tablespoons. Large dogs (50+ lbs) — 2 tablespoons. One 16oz bottle lasts approximately 30 days.

For cats: Small cats (under 10 lbs) — ½ tablespoon daily. Medium cats (10–20 lbs) — ¾ tablespoon. Large cats (20+ lbs) — 1 tablespoon. One 8oz bottle lasts approximately 30 days.

Absolutely. Everyday Gravy is designed to complement any diet. Whether your pet eats dry kibble, canned wet food, freeze-dried raw, fresh raw, or home-cooked meals, just pour and mix. It enhances flavor and nutrition no matter what's in the bowl.

Everyday Gravy is safe for pets 12 weeks and older. For very young puppies or kittens, we recommend starting with half the suggested serving size and gradually increasing to the full amount. If you have concerns about your young pet, consult your veterinarian first.

The all-natural ingredients in Everyday Gravy are generally safe, but we always recommend consulting your veterinarian before introducing any new supplement during pregnancy or nursing. Your vet can advise on the best serving size for your pet's specific needs.

Everyday Gravy is free from common allergens like wheat, corn, soy, and artificial additives. However, it does contain shellfish-derived glucosamine (in both formulas) and fish oil (in the cat formula). If your pet has a known shellfish or fish allergy, please consult your veterinarian before use. We always list every ingredient on our product labels so you can check with your vet.

We don't recommend swapping formulas. Each gravy is specifically formulated for its target species. Cat Gravy contains supplemental taurine, which cats cannot produce on their own. Dog Gravy has a different ingredient balance optimized for canine health needs. Using the correct formula ensures your pet gets the right nutrients at the right levels.

Most pet owners notice improvements in energy and appetite within the first week. Coat improvements — shinier, softer fur and less shedding — typically show within 2–3 weeks. Joint mobility and flexibility benefits build over 30–60 days of consistent daily use. For maximum results, we recommend at least 90 days of daily use.

In most cases, yes. However, because Everyday Gravy already contains a comprehensive blend of active ingredients (glucosamine, omega-3s, MSM, probiotics, and more), you may not need additional supplements. We recommend consulting your veterinarian to avoid over-supplementation of any single nutrient.

Everyday Dog Gravy is available in two flavors — Hickory Smoked Bacon and Savory Roasted Beef — both with the same active ingredient blend. Key active ingredients include: Glucosamine HCL for joint support, Marine Microalgae Oil (plant-based Omega-3 DHA/EPA) for skin, coat, and heart, MSM for mobility and comfort, Organic Mushroom Extract (7-species blend) for immune support, Taurine for heart health, and Probiotics with Prebiotic Fiber for digestive balance. The base is made from real bone broth with natural flavoring.

Everyday Cat Gravy (Savory Roasted Chicken) contains 8 active ingredients per serving: Taurine 50mg for heart, vision, and reproductive health, Omega-3 Fish Oil 50mg (wild-caught menhaden) for skin and coat, MSM 50mg for joint comfort, Glucosamine HCL 40mg for joint support, Vitamin A 400mcg (beta carotene) for eye health, Organic Mushroom Blend 10mg (7 species) for immunity, Fulvic Acid 5mg for mineral absorption, and Digestive Health Blend 5mg (Bacillus Subtilis probiotic). The base is natural chicken bone broth.

Taurine is an essential amino acid that cats cannot produce on their own — unlike dogs, who can synthesize it internally. Cats must get taurine from their diet. Taurine deficiency can lead to serious health issues including dilated cardiomyopathy (heart disease), retinal degeneration (vision loss), and reproductive problems. Most commercial cat foods contain minimal taurine. Everyday Cat Gravy provides 50mg per serving to bridge this nutritional gap.

Glucosamine is a naturally occurring compound that supports joint cartilage health. It helps maintain the cushioning between joints, promotes flexibility, and supports comfortable movement — especially important for aging pets, large breeds, and active dogs. Research shows that consistent daily glucosamine supplementation can help slow joint degradation and improve quality of life in pets of all ages.

Marine microalgae is the original source of Omega-3 fatty acids in the ocean food chain — fish get their Omega-3s from eating algae. By going directly to the source, we get a pure, sustainable, plant-based Omega-3 (DHA/EPA) without the heavy metals, contaminants, or fishy taste that can come with fish oil. It's also more environmentally sustainable and avoids contributing to overfishing.

MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) is a natural sulfur compound found in plants and animals. It supports joint comfort and mobility, helps maintain healthy connective tissue, promotes a healthy inflammatory response, and contributes to skin and coat health. MSM works synergistically with glucosamine to provide comprehensive joint support.

Our organic mushroom blend contains 7 medicinal mushroom species known for their immune-supporting properties. These functional mushrooms have been used in traditional medicine for centuries and are now backed by modern research for supporting immune function, energy, and overall vitality in pets. The blend is organically grown in the USA.

Fulvic acid is a mineral-rich organic compound found in nutrient-dense soil. It acts as a natural carrier molecule — helping your pet's body absorb and utilize the other active ingredients more effectively. It also supports hydration at the cellular level, provides trace minerals, and supports healthy energy levels. Think of it as a nutrient amplifier.

All ingredients are responsibly sourced and our products are manufactured in the USA in a GMP-certified, FDA-registered facility. Our fish oil comes from wild-caught menhaden, our mushroom blend is organically grown in America, and every ingredient meets strict quality and purity standards. We never use ingredients from unverified or untested suppliers.

Most supplements come as pills, powders, or chews — formats many pets reject or take inconsistently. Altira Everyday Gravy is a functional food supplement in gravy form. It combines 6–8 active ingredients in a single daily pour that pets actually crave. No pill pockets, no hiding, no fighting. Just shake, pour, and mix. It's a supplement that works because it's actually consumed — every single day.

Pill compliance in pets is notoriously low. Many pet owners report their dogs spit pills out or their cats refuse them entirely. Even pill pockets don't work for every pet. Altira Gravy eliminates this problem completely. The gravy format means your pet gets their full daily dose in a form they beg for. No stress for you, no stress for them, and no missed doses.

Chews can be effective, but they often contain fillers, artificial flavors, sugars, and binding agents needed to hold the chew shape. Altira Gravy uses a clean, liquid base (real bone broth) that doesn't require these additives. The liquid format also allows for more consistent dosing — you measure exactly what your pet gets — and the ingredients are absorbed more efficiently than compressed solids.

For most healthy pets, Everyday Gravy covers the key supplementation bases: joint support (glucosamine + MSM), omega-3 fatty acids, probiotics, immune support (mushroom extract), and more. It's designed to be a comprehensive daily supplement. However, if your pet has specific medical conditions requiring targeted supplementation, your veterinarian may recommend additional products. Always consult your vet for personalized advice.

Regular pet gravies and bone broths are essentially flavored water with minimal nutritional value. Altira Everyday Gravy is a scientifically formulated functional supplement that uses a gravy base as the delivery vehicle. Each serving contains precise doses of 6–8 active ingredients targeting joint health, skin and coat, digestion, heart health, and immunity. It's a full-spectrum supplement that happens to taste like the best gravy your pet has ever had.

Everyday Dog Gravy comes in two irresistible flavors: Hickory Smoked Bacon and Savory Roasted Beef. Both flavors contain the exact same active ingredient blend — so your dog gets the same health benefits regardless of flavor. Both use real, natural flavoring with no artificial anything. We also offer a Beef & Bacon Bundle so you can switch between flavors to keep mealtime exciting.

Our Savory Roasted Chicken flavor was developed based on palatability testing and feline flavor preferences. Chicken is consistently one of the most preferred flavors among cats across all breeds. We chose to perfect one formula rather than dilute our focus across multiple options. That said, we're always listening to feedback — more flavors may be on the horizon.

Cats are famously finicky, but they naturally crave gravy. Everyday Cat Gravy is formulated with a savory chicken bone broth base that appeals to cats' natural preferences. Most cats love it from the very first pour. But if your cat is the rare exception, our 30-day money-back guarantee means there's zero risk in trying.
